It has been translated to English from Sathe’s own Marathi Rangbhoomichya Tees Ratre. The compendium is a historical analysis of Marathi theatre from the socio-political angle covering Marathi theatre through renaissance, the social reform movement in Maharashtra, the post-independent period and the contemporary period post 1975.
