Online Outreach During COVID-19
We turn to the arts when we are joyful; we turn to the arts when we grieve. And in times of uncertainty and despair, we turn to arts again for sustaining our hopes. This is especially true of now when the Coronavirus pandemic continues to disrupt and alter our lives. More here than ever anywhere else, the arts must remind us of the human capacity to endure, re-imagine and create.
We, at IFA, are aware of the significant challenges posed by the current COVID-19 pandemic. And we remain as focused as ever on supporting projects across our programmes and creating new spaces of explorations and discussions on and about the arts. We have therefore developed an exciting range of online events and engagements for our multiple audiences. The following highlight the efforts taking place at IFA:
- Cross Currents: Three conversations curated by IFA in January, February and March 2021 on the theme of Play as Practice
- Throwback Thursdays with IFA: Online showcases of projects streamed between May 2020 and October 2020 on alternate Thursdays in the form of conversations, film screenings and performances
- Workshops: Capacity building engagements for artists and cultural practitioners to develop skills and expertise
- External Engagements: Staff participation in online discussions on arts and philanthropy
- TAQ - IFA #BehindTheSeen: Explore the World of Artists through 6 short films presented by The Arts Quotient and India Foundation for the Arts
