Hijrat Ke Bol, a presentation by Nirmala opened up the discussion about the lesser-known side of Partition and its lasting effects on the survivors who have kept the memories of the divide and displacement alive in folk songs of Haryana.

Nirmala is an independent scholar, folk singer and theatre practitioner based in Kurukshetra. She received a grant from IFA, under the Arts Research programme, made possible with support from Titan Company Limited.
