Rahul Ram is an Indian bass guitarist, social activist, music composer, and more recently a sit-down artist with Aisi Taisi Democracy which is a political satire musical show. An essential part of the band, Indian Ocean, from 1991, his bass playing moves smoothly – from melodic enmeshing with vocal and guitar lines to the more standard laying of foundations over which the band soars. His experiences as an activist/supporter with the Narmada Bachao Andolan and during his four years studying in the US have exposed him to a variety of musical styles from all over India and the world, and have strongly influenced his musical expression. A few of his most popular songs are Maa Rewa.., Kandisa, Yaara Maula etc.
This fundraiser is organised in association with SIFF Young Artiste, a national platform for arts education and accreditation.
