India Foundation for the Arts is looking for a Project Assistant for our Archive Team for a short term (four months - mid-May to mid-August 2018).
IFA is a national, not-for-profit, grantmaking organisation that supports practice, research and education in the arts and culture, in India. Set up as a Public Charitable Trust in 1993, IFA started making grants in 1995, and has continued its work over 22 years. IFA has supported over 530 arts projects disbursing over Rs 23 crores, across India.
You will work closely with the IFA Archive Team in organising material; creating metadata; preparing material for upload; and uploading data and digital material onto the online platform.
Skills Required:
- Proficiency in using MS Excel, MS Access and/or any kind of database software.
- Basic knowledge of different file formats for audio, video, documents and conversion tools.
Eligibility:
- Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts/ Humanities.
- Experience of working with institutional archives is preferred.
Location and Term:
This is a full-time, Bangalore-based position i.e. the person needs to be present at our office, for the entire duration of four months starting mid-May 2018.
Remuneration:
Rs. 20,000/- per month.
